Itinerary – Highlights

Sun. Departure on ELAL LY#002 from JFK or ELAL from Miami

Mon. Arrival into Ben Gurion, COVID – test and transfer to Jerusalem hotel.

Tue. Old City – View of the Old City from Haas Promenade, drive to Mount Zion to visit David’s Tomb. Continue to tour the Jewish Quarter including and the Cardo. Time to pray at the Kotel and then we will explore the Southern Wall excavations, and end the day with a visit to the city of David.

Wed. New City – We will start the day with a driven tour of Governement Hill, continue to Yad Vashem and tour the outdoor Holocaust Memorials, then stroll the quaint alleys of Ein Kerem and learn some secrets of the village. After lunch we will learn about the Battle for Jerusalem during the War of Independence in one of the national parks (Kastek or Shaar Hagai). We will end the day at the Yvel Jewelry and hear the story of the Ethiopian Aliyah.

Thu. We will start the day at the renovated 2000-year-old MountainFortress – Herodion, then continue to Hevron to the Cave of Machpela and the Avraham Avinu Synagogue. Then continue on to Gush Etzyon to tour some of the historic Gush highlights and we will end the day at Rachel’s Tomb.

Fri. Binyamin Region – we will start the day exploring Ancient Shilo, home of the Mishkan – Tabernacle and site for many biblical events. Then travel to Psagot Winery to learn about the region and end the day with some wine tasting.

Sat. Shabbat Shalom – day of rest.

Sun. Check out of Jerusalem hotel, drive by Israel’s newest and coolest shopping mall in Maale Adumim. Continue to the northern shores of the Dead Sea for a float at the lowest place on earth, then we will drive up to the Bikaa Valley to Beit Shean – the modern and ancient city. Overnight at Kibbutz Lavi.

Mon. The Finger of the Galil – we will drive to the most northern village in Israel – MEtula and peek into Lebanon, then enjoy a nature walk at Tel Dan – one of the Jordan tributaries and the biblical northern border point. At the Hula Agmon Nature Reserve we will learn about the amazing bird migration and about ecological challenges and solutions. We will end the day in Tiberias and return to Kibbutz Lavi for our overnight.

Tue. Checkout of the hotel. After a morning tour of the Kibbutz we will explore the mystical city of Tzefat and have some shopping time. Then travel to the former Templar village now called Alonei Abba to visit Yaarat Hadvash for some learning about the bees and some sweet honey tasting. Check into the Ramada Resort Hotel in Hadera.

Wed. we will start the day at the Hanna Senesh Museum in Kibbutz Sdot Yam to learn about one of our amazing heroes. Travel on to the Roman Ruins in Caesarea and then continue on the First Aliyah Village of Zichron Yaacov. Returning to the Ramada Resort Hotel in Hadera.

Thu. Late check out, drive to the new “Anu” Museum in Tel Aviv (former Diaspora Museum), driven tour of Tel Aviv. Visit Neve Tzedak and tour Old Jaffa. Returning to Jerusalem and checking into the Kings Hotel.

Fri. Free day to explore or shop or have coffee in one of the many cafes.

Sat. Shabbat Shalom – day of rest. Evening check out and return to Ben Gurion airport for return trip home.

Itinerary – Highlights

Sun. – Schedule your departure to coincide with the group arrival into Israel on Monday.

Mon. Arrival into Ben Gurion Airport, COVID-19 tests and group transfer to Jerusalem hotel to await the test results.

Tue. – Old City – View of the Old City from Mt. Scopus with Shehecheyanu ceremony. Drive to Mount Zion to visit David’s Tomb, continue to tour the Jewish Quarter and including the Cardo. Praying time at the Kotel, explore the Ofel in the southern wall excavations ending the day with a short visit to the City of David.

Wed. – New City – We will start the day with a driven tour of Government Hill, continue on to Yad Vashem for a tour of the outdoor Holocaust Memorials. Then we will stroll the quaint alleyways of Ein Kerem and learn some of the secrets of the village, after lunch we will learn about the Battle for Jerusalem during the War of Independence in one of the national parks (Kastel or Shaar Hagai). We will end the day at the Yvel Jewelry Factory and hear the story of the Ethiopian Aliyah.

Thu. – East Gush Etzyon – Start the day off at the renovated 2000 year old Herodion Mountain Fortress and visit the new artist center in Tekoa. Then we will continue to Hevron to the Cave of Machpela and the new digs. We will end the day with a visit at Rachel’s Tomb.

Fri.-  Tel Gezer – A less known Biblical Tel – present to King Salomon from Pharoph! Visit a local area winery for a tour and tasting and wind up the day at the New Hasmonean Museum in Modiin. Return to Jerusalem to prepare for Shabbat.

Sat. – Shabbat Shalom.

Sun. – Check out of Jerusalem hotel and drive south to the Negev. Visit Tel Sheva – biblical Beer Sheva, continue on to the Ashalim Mop visitor center to learn about modern agriculture and the Sun Tower. Enjoy lunch at Mitzpe Ramon, after lunch we will take a short hike in the Ramon Crater. Continue on to Eilat and overnight in Eilat.

Mon. – Half a day tour of Eilat – driven tour of the city. Take a walk through the Bird Sanctuary and see the Flamingo Pools. Visit the Underwater Observatory.

Tue. – Optional Jeep tour. Drive to Timna Nature Reserve – take a short hike to the Ancient Copper Mines, the Mushroom and Salomon’s Pillars. Enjoy a safari style tour at the Hai Bar Animal Reserve – meet the desert animals like the ostriches, oryx and more.

Wed. – Check out of Eilat hotel and drive up the Arava Valley to the Dead Sea – enjoy floating in the lowest point on earth. Take a short hike in the Ein Gedi Nature reserve before returning to Jerusalem and check into our hotel.

Thu. – Tel Aviv / Jaffo – Visit the new Anu Museum, continue with a driven tour of the city. Take a walking tour of Ahuzt Bayit – the first neighbourhood of Tel Aviv. Stop for a visit at the Bank of Israel Visitor Center to learn about the monetary history of Israel. End the day strolling through Jaffa following the biblical connections.

Fri. – Free day to enjoy as you like

Sat. – Shabbat Shalom. Evening transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for return flight home.
