ITINERARY – SUMMER 2019
Sun. Schedule your departure to coincide with arrival into Israel on Monday. There will be one group pickup at the airport and this will be determined by the majority of the people arriving at the same time.
Mon. Arrival into Israel, or if in Israel already, make your way to Jerusalem and check into hotel of your choice to unpack and prepare to meet the group for dinner.
Tue. Jerusalem of Old – Enjoy the view of the Old City from Mount Scopus. Participate in the Emek Tzurim sifting project, revealing artifacts from the Temple Mount. Drive to the Jewish Quarter and tour the area, spending spiritual time at the Kotel. End the day in the City of David, including walking through Hezekaya’s water tunnel.
Wed. Desert Day – Drive through the Judean Desert to Ein Gedi oasis for a short hike. Continue to explore Massada mountain fortress and learn about bravery. Experience floating on the Dead Sea. Optional – ride a camel.
Thu. Drive through the Jerusalem mountains to the Scrolls of Fire Memorial. Continue to Tzuba. Enjoy chocolate making at the Galita factory branch, optional – Kiftsuba kids activity center. Hike the lovely Sataf trail and natural springs. Evening optional outing suggestion – “Dance Israel” – a fun dance workshop that recreates Israel’s story.
Fri. Binyamin Region – Extensive tour of Shilo, site of the Mishkan. We will tour the ancient Tel and see a movie, drive to Adei Ad to visit a goat farm and see how cheese is made. Return to Jerusalem and enjoy the afternoon in Machane Yehudah market on your own.
Sat. Shabbat Shalom – Saturday night entertainment suggestion – Attend Light and Sound show at David Citadel.
Sun. North Trip – Check out of Jerusalem hotels. Drive to Kasr el Yahud on the Jordan River, site of Joshua’s crossing and Eliyahu’s departure. Continue to the Gilboa Mountains view and hear about King Shaul. Enjoy swimming at the beautiful Sachnee Natural Pools. End the day at Gan Guru –Kangaroo zoo. Optional boat ride on the Kinneret with Darbuka drums. Overnight in Kibbutz Lavi [Aug. 13 will be in a hotel in the area].
Mon. Active start to the day – enjoy optional activities at the Jordan River center – raft down the Jordan, ATV or Jeep the area. Drive up to the Golan Heights. Visit Katzrin and lunch in town. Drive to the new visitor center of Um El Kanatir Talmudic synagogue. End the day with visit to the Robotic farm at Avnei Eitan. Overnight in Kibbutz Lavi [Aug. 13 will be in a hotel in the area].
Tue. Tour of the kibbutz [if staying at Lavi]. Tour mystical city of Tzefat, including hands- on activity in the old city. Special visit to Ot Stam for Bar/Bat Mitzvah kids. Meet a Sofer StaM and write! Continue to the Mediterranean coast to visit the Rosh Hanikra Grottoes. Overnight in Haifa.
Wed. Enjoy the pool and have a late start, view the Bahai Gardens. Visit Atlit British detention camp. Explore Zichron Yaakov, First Aliya village. Enjoy the Cesarea Aqueduct. Return to Jerusalem.
Thu. Start the day at the Haas Promenade. Drive by the new American Embassy. Visit Rachel’s Tomb. Continue to Hevron – Cave of Machpela. Bring treats to the soldiers at the “Warm Corner.” Driven tour highlights of Gush Etzyon.
Fri. Free day – optional activities range between $10 and $20 per person.
Sat. Shabbat Shalom. Late checkout from the hotel and transfer to airport for your return trip home.

Please add $50 registration fee (non-refundable).
Price based on double occupancy, single room occupants are subject to a single supplement.
Discount for children under 12.
Daily trips throughout the country.
2 Kosher meals per day – breakfast and dinner – Shabbat day lunch.
One group transfer from and to the airport in Israel
(group pickup will be determined by the majority of people arriving at the same time).
Tour entrance fees included. Touring by air-conditioned bus, with licensed English speaking guides.
Lectures and group discussions. Free time.
Prices, itinerary, flight assignment and departure dates are subject to change.
Changes or cancellation of airline tickets could incur penalties.
Please refer to cancellation policy on the back of the reservation form.
Payments:
$100 Deposit per person with registration. One half of the balance is due 2 months prior to departure.
Full balance is to be paid 1 month before departure.
Cancellation within six weeks of departure will incur a penalty of $200.
