ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS

Sun. Apr 26th Schedule your departure to coincide with arrival into Israel on Monday.

Mon. Apr 27th Arrival into Israel, or if in Israel already, make your way to Jerusalem and check into hotel of your choice to unpack and prepare to meet the group for dinner. There will be one main group pick-up from the airport. This will be determined by the majority of people arriving at the same time.

Tue. Apr 28th Today we will have a chance to overlook the Temple Mount from the Mount of Olives. After this we will have an opportunity to join the Emek Tzurim sifting project where we will help find remains from our holiest site. We will drive to the Old City and explore the Jewish Quarter. After a lunch break we will arrive at the Kotel to pray. We will end the day in the City of David where Jerusalem started over four thousand years ago, and walk in the cool waters of Hezekiah’s Tunnel.

Wed. Apr 29th Start the day with a visit to Yad Vashem. Continue on to the Binyamin region with a stop at Saboneto – a special soap factory in Kochav Hashachar, then drive via the east road to Gush Shilo where we will take a tour of a local winery with a tasting, and visit a goat farm in Adie Ad, try to milk the goats and taste the produce. We will explore the ancient city of Shilo, see a movie and hike through the remains of the
city, overlooking the place of the Mishkan.

Thu. Apr 30th Desert Lure. Today we will explore why people left Jerusalem and chose the harsh desert as their home. We will hike the beautiful Ein Gedi reserve to a waterfall and talk about King David. Continue on to Masada where we will ascend the mountain fortress via cable car to explore a fortress fit for a king and used by rebels.
End the day by floating in the Dead Sea, the lowest place upon earth [for those who want to spend more time here there will be an option for an earlier drop off at the Dead Sea].

Fri. May 1st Start the day with a visit to the Bullet Factory in Rehovot. Continue to Tel Aviv for stroll through the first neighborhoods of the city and learn about the history of buildings that make up the area. Drive to Old Yaffo for a walking tour of this ancient town before heading back to Jerusalem to prepare for Shabbat.

Sat. May 2nd Shabbat Shalom. Enjoy davening at the nearby Great Synagogue or walk to the Kotel to experience a spiritual Shabbat at the Western Wall.

Sun. May 3rd Check out of Jerusalem hotels for trip north stopping at the Ptil Tchelet factory to see how the royal blue woolen thread for tzitzit is made. Drive to the Jordan Valley to overlook Jericho, the oldest city in the world, from Vered Yericho, and hear about Joshua, the tumbling walls, priests, kings and dates. Visit the 1,500 year old Beit
Alpha Talmudic Synagogue with its colorful mosaics, and watch a movie about the site. Drive to Naharayim and learn about the first electric site in Israel. Overnight in Kibbutz Lavi.

Mon. May 4th We will start the day at the nature reserve of Tel Dan, one of the tributaries of the Jordan. Continue on to the Golan Heights to Mount Bental for an overview from a volcano. Enjoy the DeKarina Chocolate Factory. Drive to Katzrin, the capital of the Golan and see the interactive movie – Kesem Hagolan. End the day with an optional
rafting trip on the Jordan River. Overnight in Kibbutz.

Tue. May 5th Drive to Tiberias to enjoy an optional morning boat ride on the Kinneret. Dock in Kibbutz Ginnosar and hear about the 1,000 year old boat found in the mud. Continue to the mystical city of Tzefat for a tour of the old city. There will be time for lunch and shopping. Visit the Adir winery for a wine and goat milk ice cream tasting. End the day davening mincha at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
Overnight in Hadera.

Wed. May 6th Start off with a tour of Hadera and a visit to the Rally Museum. Visit Atlit, the British detention camp and experience a reconstructed ship. Drive to the 1882 village of Zichron Yaakov where we will stop for lunch and a stroll through this beautiful picturesque village where the Neli House [Aaronson spy house] is located. After
lunch we will explore Caesarea before returning to Jerusalem.

Thu. May 7th We will start the day with a visit to the Begin Museum. Then we will visit Rachel’s Tomb. From there we will drive to the highest point in the area – Mitzpe Haelef in Neve Daniel. We will then bring treats for the soldiers at the Pina Chama and take a walk on Derech Haavot, the path of our forefathers and mothers. Drive to
Chevron to the Cave of Machpela. Tour Gush Etzyon on the way back to Jerusalem.

Fri. May 8th Free day to revisit previous sites, new sites or take a coffee at one of the any outdoor cafes or shop at some of the great shops in the area.

Sat. May 9th Shabbat Shalom. Late checkout from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return trip home.

Please add $50 registration fee (non-refundable).

Price based on double occupancy, single room occupants are subject to a single supplement.

Discount for children under 12.

Daily trips throughout the country.

2 Kosher meals per day – breakfast and dinner – Shabbat day lunch.

One group transfer from and to the airport in Israel

(group pickup will be determined by the majority of people arriving at the same time).

Tour entrance fees included.  Touring by air-conditioned bus, with licensed English speaking guides.

Lectures and group discussions. Free time.

Prices, itinerary, flight assignment and departure dates are subject to change.

Changes or cancellation of airline tickets could incur penalties.

Please refer to cancellation policy on the back of the reservation form.

Payments:

$100 Deposit per person with registration. One half of the balance is due 2 months prior to departure.

Full balance is to be paid 1 month before departure.

Cancellation within six weeks of departure will incur a penalty of $200.
