ITINERARY

(for two week tour)

Sun. Departure from NY on El Al Israel Airlines.

Mon. Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Transfer to Jerusalem hotels.

Tue. Start the day at Heichel Shelomo Judaica Museum and rooftop view, enter the Old City and visit the Jewish Quarter including a unique tour of the newly restored Hurva Synagogue. Walk down to pray and visit the Kotel, exploring the whole length of the Western Wall with the inspiring Tunnel Tour. We will end the day in the amazing national park of David’s City – if fitting walk through Hezekaya’s water tunnel.

Wed. Drive to Nebi Samuel – traditional tomb of Samuel the prophet with great view. Drive via historical Maale Beit Horon. Experience the unique invitation to silence exhibit at Holon Museum. Drive to Tel Aviv; driven tour of city. Visit pre-1948 historical museum and enjoy strolling in the alleys of Old Jaffa.

Thur. Judean Desert – Explore Massada Mountain Fortress; experience floating in the Dead Sea and end the day at Ein Gedi oasis.

Fri. We will start the day at Yad Vashem historical museum then drive through Jerusalem surrounding and take a short walk in one of Jerusalem’s gems. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. A visit to Mahane Yehuda market to see preparations for Shabbat is recommended.

Sat. Shabbat Shalom.

Sun. Leave Jerusalem. Drive through Jordan Valley to Naharaim; continue to Galita chocolate factory. Optional rafting down the Jordan River. Tour Tiberias including Hamat Tiberias Synagogue and R’ Meir’s tomb. Overnight in Lavi.

Mon. Drive up the Hula Valley to visit the Banias Nature Reserve. Continue to the Golan Heights. Walk through bunkers and overlook Syria from Bental Volcano. Visit Kibbutz Elrom movie theater to learn about the Yom Kippur War. End the day in Katzrin, capital of the Golan.

Tue. Morning tour of Kibbutz Lavi. Explore the mystical city of Tzefat. Continue through the Galil to Beit Lechem Haglilit spice farm. End the day in the Beit Shearim catacombs. Overnight in Haifa.

Wed. Overlook Haifa port from Bahai Gardens; driven tour of the city. Visit Atlit Detention Camp. End the day in Zichron Yaakov. Learn about the Nili spy ring and return to Jerusalem.

Thur. Start day in Herodian – Herod’s favorite “country club”. Drive via Tekoa and Efrat to Hebron to Cave of Machpela. Tour Gush Etzyon. End the day at Rachel’s Tomb.

Fri. Day of leisure.

Sat. Shabbat Shalom. Saturday evening transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for return flight.


General Information

Please add $50 registration fee (non-refundable); and $98 airport tax per person.

$408 fuel tax per person. This could go up or down depending on the market demand for fuel at the time of departure

Price based on double occupancy, single room occupants are subject to a single suplement.

Discount for children under 12.

Price includes round trip on El-Al from N.Y./Newark

Daily trips throughout the country.

4 days spent in Galilee.

2 Kosher meals per day – Breakfast and Dinner, Shabbat – Breakfast and Lunch.

Group transfer from and to the airport in Israel.

Tour entrance fees included. Touring by air-conditioned bus, with licensed English speaking guides.

Lectures and group discussions. Free time.

Prices, itinerary, flight assignment and departure dates are subject to change.

Changes or cancellation of airline tickets within 30 days could incur additional penalties.

Payments:

$100 Deposit per person with registration. One half of the balance is due 2 months prior to departure.

Full balance is to be paid 1 month before departure.

Cancellation within 21 days of departure will incur a penalty of $200.
