ITINERARY

(for two week tour)

Sun. Departure from NY on El Al Israel Airlines.

Mon. Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Transfer to Jerusalem hotels.

Tue. Old City of Jerusalem: Start the day with a Mitzvah – Visit Yad Lakashish Craft Workshop for the Elderly. Overlook Old City from Mount of Olives. Visit the Jewish Quarter including the Cardo. Walk along the inspiring Kotel tunnels. End the day exploring the City of David.

Wed. Judean Desert: Drive via Maale Adumim to Massada Mountain Fortress. Experience floating in the Dead Sea. Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.

Thur. Tour Beit El. Visit Tel Shilo – site of the Mishkan. Lunch in the City of Ariel. Drive to Kedumim – first renewed Jewish village in Samaria. Visit local museum. Strategic overview of Dan Region.

Fri. New City of Jerusalem: Visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, Yemin Moshe and the Begin Museum.

Sat. Shabbat Shalom.

Sun. North Trip: Drive via Jordan Valley. Learn about Kibbutz Gesher in the War of Independence and see the first hydroelectric plant in the region. Continue up to the Golan Heights  to Tel Saki. Tour Katsrin – Capital of the Golan. Optional boat ride on Lake Kinneret. Overnight in Lavi.

Mon. Drive via Hula Valley to Tel Hai 1920 courtyard. Hear about Trumpeldor and visit the roaring lion statue. Walk through Mettula, the First Aliya village on the Lebanese border. Walk along the waters of Tel Dan Nature Reserve. Optional rafting on the Jordan River.

Tue. Morning tour of Kibbutz. Explore mystical City of Tsefat. Visit local winery. Meiron – Rashbi’s tomb. Drive to Pekiin and hear about the Zinnati family who never went to exile. Overnight in Haifa.

Wed. Overlook Haifa. Visit Maritime Museum. Continue to Atlit pre-State British Detention camp. Drive via coastal road to Tel Aviv. Free time. Return to Jerusalem.

Thur. Visit Rachel’s Tomb. Continue to Gush Etzion region. Spend time in Hevron – Mearat HaMachpela and Jewish neighborhoods.

Fri. Free day.

Sat. Shabbat Shalom. Saturday evening transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for return flight.

Please add $50 registration fee (non-refundable); and $95 airport tax per person.

$250 fuel tax per person.

This could go up or down depending on the market demand for fuel at the time of departure

Price based on double occupancy, single room occupants are subject to a single suplement.

Discount for children under 12.

Price includes round trip on El-Al from N.Y./Newark

Daily trips throughout the country.

4 days spent in Galilee.

2 Kosher meals per day – Breakfast and Dinner, Shabbat – Breakfast and Lunch.

Group transfer from and to the airport in Israel.

Tour entrance fees included.  Touring by air-conditioned bus, with licensed English speaking guides.

Lectures and group discussions. Free time.

Prices, itinerary, flight assignment and departure dates are subject to change.

Payments:

$100 Deposit per person with registration. One half of the balance is due 2 months prior to departure.

Full balance is to be paid 1 month before departure.

Cancellation within 21 days of departure will incur a penalty of $200.
