ITINERARY

(for two week tour)

Sun. Departure from NY on El Al Israel Airlines.

Mon. Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Transfer to Jerusalem hotels.

Tue. Jerusalem of Old: Overlook Jerusalem from Mount of Olives. Take part in exploring the past of the Temple Mount at Emek Tsurim sifting project. Enter the Old City and visit Jewish Quarter. Explore inspiring Kotel tunnels. Mincha at the Kotel and end the day with exciting finds at the City of David

Wed. Explore the mountain fortress of Masada. Visit Ein Gedi. Experience floating on the Dead Sea.

Thur.     Samaria Treasures: Visit Psagot and overlook Ramallah region. Visit unique winery and continue to Tel Shilo – first capital of Israel and site of the Mishkan. Lunch at the largest town in Samaria – Ariel. Visit the outpost farms in the Shechem area.

Fri. New City of Jerusalem: Visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum and interactive Herzl Museum. Drive through main interest points of Jerusalem.

Sat. Shabbat Shalom.

Sun. Northern Bound: Drive to Lower Galilee. Tour Bet Lechem Haglilit and spice farm. Explore Zippori where the Mishna was edited. See beautiful mosaics. Continue to mystical city of Tzfat. End the day in Meiron. Overnight in Lavi.

Mon. Golan and Kinneret: Morning tour of Kibbutz Lavi. Drive to Golan Heights via Bnot Yaakov Bridge. Overlook Hula Valley from former Syrian bunkers at Gadot. Continue to Katsrin old and new. Lunch in Katsrin. Afternoon visit to first Kibbutz – Degania – and chocolate factory. Optional kayaking down the Jordan River. Return to Lavi through scenic route.

Tue. Meet with soldiers. Gourd Art Museum at Kibbutz Eylon. Rosh Hanikra Grottoes. Tour Akko. Drive to Haifa. Overnight in Haifa.

Wed. Drive through Haifa to Haifa University Hecht Museum. Continue through Carmel nature reserve to Druze village. Visit Muchraka – site of Eliyahu’s contest with Baal prophets. Lunch in Zichron Yaakov. Visit Aaronson House and learn about Nili spy ring. Explore Herod’s maritime city of Caesarea. Return to Jerusalem

Thur. Visit Rachel’s Tomb. Visit Hevron and Cave of Machpela. Tour Gush Etzion region.

Fri. Day of leisure.

Sat. Shabbat Shalom. Saturday evening transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for return flight.

General Information

Please add $50 registration fee (non-refundable); and $95 airport tax per person.

$250 fuel tax per person.

This could go up or down depending on the market demand for fuel at the time of departure

Price based on double occupancy, single room occupants are subject to a single suplement.

Discount for children under 12.

Price includes round trip on El-Al from N.Y./Newark

Daily trips throughout the country.

4 days spent in Galilee.

2 Kosher meals per day – Breakfast and Dinner, Shabbat – Breakfast and Lunch.

Group transfer from and to the airport in Israel.

Tour entrance fees included.  Touring by air-conditioned bus, with licensed English speaking guides.

Lectures and group discussions. Free time.

Prices, itinerary, flight assignment and departure dates are subject to change.

Payments:

$100 Deposit per person with registration. One half of the balance is due 2 months prior to departure.

Full balance is to be paid 1 month before departure.

Cancellation within 21 days of departure will incur a penalty of $200.
