ITINERARY

Sun.       Departure from NY on El Al Israel Airlines.

Mon.      Arrival atBenGurionAirport. Transfer toJerusalem hotels.

Tue.        Overlook Jerusalem from Mount of Olives. Visit David Citadel Museum for introduction to Jerusalem’s timeline. Tour gems of Jewish Quarter. Continue to Kotel and explore Western Wall Tunnels or Davidson Center. End the day at the City of David – the core of the city.

Wed.      “Tanach Day”: Leave Jerusalem hotels and drive via Maale Adumim road to overlookJericho from Mitzpe Yericho. Continue throughJordanValley to the amazing ruins of Beit Shean. See the vivid mosaic floor at Beit Alpha – synagogue from the Talmudic period. Learn about King Ahab in this hometown – Tel Yizrael. Overnight in Kibbutz Lavi.

Thur.     Morning tour of the kibbutz. Experience the world-known bird migration at Agmon Hahula. Tour mystical Zefat, learning about its golden age and visiting the alleys and synagogues. Visit unique candle factory. Free time for shopping. Stop at Meiron – tomb of R. Shimon Bar Yochai. Return toJerusalem.

Fri.         Visit the Holocaust Museum of Yad Vashem. Enjoy the rest of the tour at the renewed Israel Museum.

Sat.         Shabbat Shalom.

Sun.       Southbound: LeaveJerusalem hotels and drive toJudeanDesert. Hike Ein Gedi Nature Reserve. Explore Massada mountain fortress. Experience floating in theDead Sea. Overnight in Eilat.

Mon.      Driven tour of Eilat. Underwater observatory. Optional jeep ride.  Diving. Enjoy rest of day at leisure. Overnight in Eilat.

Tue.        Leave Eilat. Short hike in Timna Nature Reserve. Visit the ancient copper mines and Solomon’s Pillars. Visit desert animals at Hai Bar. Drive via Arava Valley to Dimona and learn about development towns in Israel. Visit beautiful Cuchin Synagogue in MoshavNevatim. Return toJerusalem.

Wed.      Start the day picking fruit for the poor with Project Leket. Continue to Tel Aviv. Driven tour of the city.PalmachMuseum. Stroll through OldJaffa.

Thur.     Hevron andCave ofMachpela. Gush Etzyon and Rachel’s Tomb.

Fri.         Day of leisure.

Sat.         Shabbat Shalom. Saturday night transfer to airport.

General Information

Please add $50 registration fee (non-refundable); and $98 airport tax per person.

$498 fuel tax per person.

This could go up or down depending on the market demand for fuel at the time of departure.

Price based on double occupancy, single room occupants are subject to a single supplement.

Discount for children under 12.

Price includes round trip on El-Al from N.Y./Newark

Daily trips throughout the country.

2 Kosher meals per day – Breakfast and Dinner, Shabbat – Breakfast and Lunch.

Group transfer from and to the airport inIsrael.

Tour entrance fees included. Touring by air-conditioned bus, with licensed English speaking guides.

Lectures and group discussions. Free time.

Prices, itinerary, flight assignment and departure dates are subject to change.

Payments:

$100 Deposit per person with registration. One half of the balance is due 2 months prior to departure.

Full balance is to be paid 1 month before departure.

Cancellation within 21 days of departure will incur a penalty of $200.
