ITINERARY – SUMMER 2018
Sun. Schedule your departure to coincide with arrival into Israel on Monday.
Mon. Arrival into Israel, or if in Israel already, make your way to Jerusalem and check into hotel of your choice to unpack and prepare to meet the group for dinner.
Tue. Jerusalem of Old – Enjoy the view of the Old City from Mount Scopus. Participate in the Emek Tzurim sifting project, revealing artifacts from the Temple Mount. Drive to the Jewish Quarter, tour and lunch. Spend spiritual time at the Kotel and end the day in the City of David, including walking through Hezekaya’s water tunnel.
Wed. Desert Day – Drive through the Judean Desert to Ein Gedi oasis for a short hike. Continue to explore Massada mountain fortress and learn about bravery. Experience floating on the Dead Sea. Optional – ride a camel.
Thu. We will start the day at Herzl Museum – an interactive experience of the first steps of modern Israel. We will continue to the amazing Stalagmite Cave – bring your imagination. Then to the Biblical Museum of Natural History [Zoo Torah] where we will see, smell and enjoy learning about animals of the Torah. We will include a special chessed project in honor of our Bat andBar Mitzvahs.
Fri. Binyamin Region – Extensive tour of Shilo, site of the Mishkan. We will tour the ancient Tel and see a movie and then drive to Kochav Hashachar to Saboneto – a very special soap factory. We will use all our senses and enjoy a hands-on experience. Enjoy the afternoon on your own at Machane Yehudah market or Ben Yehuda Street.
Sat. Shabbat Shalom.
Sun. North Trip – Drive via Route 6 to Hoshaya and Tziporii. We will visit Kfar Kedem – a Mishnah village – ride donkeys, prepare pita and live for a while like Chazal. From there to Tiberias and learn about Dona Grazia. Mincha at Rabbi Meir Baal Hanes. Water activities – optional. Overnight in Lavi.
Mon. Golan Heights – Hike to Hexagon Pools or Banias. Drive up to Mount Bental volcano view piont and army bunkers. Tour De Karina Chocolate Factory with tasting. ATV or jeep – optional. Overnight in Lavi.
Tue. Tour of the kibbutz. Tzefat – special visit to Ot Stam for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah kids. Meet a sofer StaM and write! Tour the Old City. Continue to Rosh Hanikra. Overnight in Haifa.
Wed. Atlit – British detention camp and reconstructed Maapilim boat. Zichron Yaakov 1882 village. Cesarea – 2000 year old man-made port city. Return to Jerusalem.
Thu. Rachel’s Tomb. Explore Herodion including Bar Kochva caves. Continue to En Biyar underground aqueduct. Visit Hevron Jewish communities and Mearat Hamachpela.
Fri. Free day.
Sat. Shabbat Shalom. Late checkout from the hotel and transfer to airport for your return trip home.

Changes or cancellation of airline tickets could incur penalties.

$100 Deposit per person with registration. One half of the balance is due 2 months prior to departure.
Full balance is to be paid 1 month before departure.
Cancellation within six weeks of departure will incur a penalty of $200.
